Terms of Service

Effective 21 August 2026 · Beta

These are the terms for using Forge // Telemetry. Written to be read, not to be survived. Questions go to ross@trainwithtelemetry.com.

1. Who you're dealing with

Forge // Telemetry is operated by BAED Studios LLC, a Texas limited liability company founded by Ross Burrus ("I", "me"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.

2. This is beta software

Forge is in active development and is currently offered free of charge. That means:

I'll give beta users notice of anything significant, but I can't promise beta-grade software will behave like a finished product. That's what beta means.

Not medical advice

Forge is a training and tracking tool, not a medical device and not a healthcare provider. Readiness scores, FFMI values, progression suggestions, nutrition targets and every other output are informational only.

Lifting is a physical activity with real risk of injury. You are responsible for your own training decisions. Consult a qualified professional before beginning or changing a training or nutrition program — particularly if you have any medical condition, injury, or are pregnant. If something hurts, stop.

3. Your account

You must be at least 18. Keep your login credentials secure, use accurate information, and don't share your account. You're responsible for activity under your account.

4. Your data belongs to you

Everything you enter — your sessions, history, records, measurements and notes — is yours. I claim no ownership of it.

You grant me only the permission needed to actually run the service: to store your data, process it to produce your metrics and trends, back it up, and display it back to you. Nothing more. I don't sell it, license it, or use it to train anything. See the Privacy Policy.

You can export a complete copy at any time from inside the app, and you can ask me to delete your account and its data by email.

5. What you agree not to do

6. Trainer and coaching features

If you use Forge to coach clients, you're responsible for having their permission to hold their training information, and for the advice you give them. I provide the tool; the coaching relationship is yours.

7. Payment

Forge is free during beta. If paid plans are introduced later, I'll give existing beta users clear advance notice of pricing and what changes before anything is charged. You'll never be billed without agreeing first.

8. The app is provided as-is

To the fullest extent the law allows, Forge is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or that results and calculations will be error-free.

9. Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or injury arising from your use of Forge. Because the service is currently free, my total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid for it, which during beta is zero.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Ending things

You can stop using Forge and request deletion at any time. I may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, threatens the service, or puts other users' data at risk. If I ever shut the service down, I'll give beta users notice and time to export their data.

11. Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, I'll update the effective date above and notify beta users by email rather than quietly editing the page.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
